How to add Acuity Scheduling to your website

Acuity Scheduling (now part of Squarespace) is widely used by coaches, therapists, and consultants. Here's how to get it onto your own website, whichever platform that site is on.

Quick answer

In Acuity, click Scheduling Page → Link, and open the 'Direct links & embedding' section. You get three options: Embed Scheduler, which puts the full scheduler inside your page; a Booking Button; or a Booking Bar across the top of your site. Copy whichever you want and paste it into an HTML block. Your general scheduling page link is in the same place if you'd rather just link out.

Step-by-step

  1. 1

    Open Direct links & embedding

In Acuity, click Scheduling Page, then Link. The 'Direct links & embedding' section holds everything — the plain link to your client scheduling page, and the code for all three embed styles.

  2. 2

Choose which of the three you want

Embed Scheduler drops the whole scheduler into your page so clients book without leaving. Booking Button adds a button linking to your scheduling page. Booking Bar puts a persistent bar across the top of your site. For most service businesses a button in the header plus a full embed on a dedicated Book page is the strongest combination.

  3. 3

Pick the right scheduler to embed

The drop-down lets you embed your default scheduler or a more specific one — a particular calendar or a single appointment type. This is genuinely useful: a page about one service should embed the scheduler for that service, not your whole menu. Fewer choices at the point of booking means more completed bookings.

  4. 4

Copy the code and paste it in

Click the Embed Scheduler tab, then Copy. Paste it into an HTML or embed block on your site. On Adviita, ask the AI editor to add a booking button linking to your Acuity scheduling page URL. On Squarespace there's a native scheduling block, since Acuity and Squarespace are the same company.

  5. 5

    Test each appointment type

Book yourself into each service you offer, on a phone. Check durations, buffers, intake forms and payment settings behave as expected, and that confirmations arrive. Intake forms in particular are worth testing — a broken required field silently kills bookings.

Tips & best practices

  • Embed the specific scheduler for a specific service page rather than your full menu — it converts noticeably better.
  • If your site is on Squarespace, use the native scheduling block instead of pasting embed code.
  • Keep your client scheduling page link handy for your Instagram bio and email signature.
  • Set buffer time in Acuity rather than manually blocking your calendar.

Common questions

How do I embed Acuity Scheduling on my website?

+

In Acuity click Scheduling Page → Link, open 'Direct links & embedding', choose Embed Scheduler, and copy the code. Paste it into an HTML block on your page. You can pick your default scheduler or one for a specific calendar or appointment type.

Where do I find my Acuity scheduling page link?

+

Click Scheduling Page, then Link. The address is under the General Scheduling Page section with a Copy button next to it. That's the link to use anywhere you can't paste code.

What's the difference between the embed, the button, and the bar?

+

The embed puts the whole scheduler inside your page so clients never leave. The button links to your scheduling page. The bar sits across the top of your site as a persistent prompt. A button in the header plus an embed on your booking page covers most needs.

Does Acuity work with Squarespace?

+

Yes — Acuity is owned by Squarespace and there's a native scheduling block, so you don't need to paste embed code at all. On other platforms use the standard embed code.
