Add Halaxy online booking to your website
Halaxy gives you an embed code and custom booking links, so patients can book on your own site instead of being sent to a directory listing.
Quick answer
In Halaxy, go to Personal, then Profile, then Directory Profile Preferences, and open the Embed tab. Copy the embed code for the practitioner booking page at your location, and paste it into the body of your website. You can also create custom booking links for a specific fee, appointment type, practitioner, or location and put those behind buttons instead.
Step-by-step
- 1
Set up online bookings before you embed anything
In Halaxy, configure which appointment types are bookable online, by which practitioners, at which locations, and how much notice you need. The embed only surfaces what you have already enabled, so a widget on a live site with nothing bookable behind it is worse than no widget.
- 2
Decide what a new patient may book
Most practices let new patients book only an initial consultation, not a follow-up or a long session. Set that in Halaxy first. Your website sends strangers to this page, and they will book whatever is offered rather than what is clinically appropriate.
- 3
Find the embed code
Go to Personal, then Profile, then Directory Profile Preferences, and open the Embed tab. There you will find the embed code for the practitioner booking page at a given location, which displays that specific booking page inside your website. Halaxy has separate regional help sites, so use the one for your country if the menu wording differs slightly.
- 4
Paste it into your site
The code goes in the body of your page, not in a text block. On Adviita, open the AI editor and say: 'Add this HTML block to the Book page', then paste the Halaxy code. Save and view the live page: the booking page should render inline rather than showing the raw code.
- 5
Use custom links for specific services
Halaxy also lets you create custom booking links for a particular fee, appointment type, practitioner, or location. These are often more useful than one general embed: put a link behind the button at the end of each service page so a patient reading about that treatment books that treatment.
- 6
Test as a new patient on a phone
Open the live page on mobile data and book as if you had never been to the practice. Check the right practitioner, appointment type, and duration come through into Halaxy, and that the confirmation reaches the patient. Then cancel it and confirm the cancellation flows back correctly.
Tips & best practices
- Put the fee for a first appointment next to the booking area. Unknown cost is the biggest drop-off in allied health enquiries.
- Link a specific practitioner where continuity matters, rather than sending returning patients through a general picker.
- Set a minimum notice period so online bookings cannot land inside your travel or setup time.
- If a referral is required for a service, say so beside the button rather than letting someone book and then be turned away.
Common questions
Embed the booking page or just link to it?
+−
Both work and Halaxy supports both. An embed keeps patients on your site, which helps when your own pages are doing the persuading. A custom link behind a button is more robust on small screens and lets you point at one specific service or practitioner, which is usually the better choice on a treatment page.
Can I show only one practitioner's availability?
+−
Yes. The embed code is available for the practitioner booking page at a specific location, and custom booking links can target a particular practitioner, appointment type, or fee. Multi-practitioner clinics generally embed a general page on the Book page and use targeted links elsewhere.
Why is my embed showing the code as text?
+−
It was pasted into a text or paragraph block rather than an HTML or embed block. Every builder has some form of custom HTML block, and the Halaxy code has to go in that. On Adviita you can ask the AI editor to add it as an HTML block and paste the code in.
